Dell Rapids Trailway
Pride and appreciation of community is an important part of our school’s mission to promote responsible citizenship. Our citizens are very proud to live in a small town where natural wonders and beauty are part of a walk to the store or a talk with a neighbor. The Dell Rapids Trailway represents our local citizens at their best - as stewards of our natural environment and as models of our mission. Our students and staff are privileged to live in a community of vision and with leaders who model environmental appreciation for our small town.
Read as the Dell Rapids Trail Committee describes the Dell Rapids Trailway:
Available for year-round, non-motorized activities, the paved trail will feature several scenic bridges as it winds along the river from City Part to Rocky Run, the dam, and Veteranís Park. Marked bicycle lanes along Old Highway 77 and 15th Street will take those wanting a lengthier ride to the eastern link of the trail that connects back to City Park, completing the 12-mile loop. Additional features are included to help youngsters travel safely to schools, parks, and ball diamonds.
